This page describes how the WeatherRadarNow dashboard handles searches, optional device location, saved preferences and third-party services. You can use city search without granting access to your device location.
City search and optional location
City names entered in search are sent to Open-Meteo geocoding to find matching places. When you select a place, its coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to request weather and air-quality information.
Device location is requested only when you press “My Location” and allow the browser permission. Those coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo for weather and air quality, and to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find a nearby place name. Location accuracy depends on your device and can be precise. These providers receive the coordinates; they are not processed solely on your device.
What is saved in your browser
- Your temperature-unit preference and light/dark theme.
- Up to five favorite places, including their names and coordinates, when you save them using the star button.
- Copies of site pages, scripts, styles and other static resources to help the site load. The service worker does not store weather, air-quality or location-search responses for offline forecasts.
Favorites and preferences stay in that browser until you remove them or clear site data. To remove a favorite, open it and press the star again. You can delete stored preferences and cached pages using your browser’s site-data controls. Revoking location permission stops future device-location access but does not automatically remove a saved favorite.
Third-party connections
Requests to weather services, fonts, the chart library and advertising services can expose normal connection information such as your IP address, browser information and the requested URL to those providers. Website hosting and delivery services may also process access logs. The dashboard code has no account system or server-side favorites database; this does not mean that infrastructure providers keep no logs.

Google advertising and cookies
The dashboard includes Google AdSense code. When ads are served, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies. Advertising cookies can support ads based on earlier visits to this site or other websites, subject to the applicable consent choices and ad settings.
See how Google uses information from partner sites. You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and eligible third-party choices through AboutAds.info. These controls do not necessarily stop all advertising or all data processing.
Your choices
You can search manually, decline or revoke location permission, remove favorite places and clear site data. Browser controls can limit cookies and storage. If an advertising consent message is presented, use its choices to manage consent. This policy does not itself collect consent and does not promise a consent banner on every page.
