About

A simple weather dashboard, with numbers you can trust

Weather Station is an independent site showing current conditions and a 5-day forecast for any city a visitor chooses, drawing on live data from OpenWeatherMap. We don't produce our own forecasts or adjust the numbers; our goal is for the reading to reach you in as few steps as possible, with a clear design that doesn't distract from the information itself.

Where does the data come from?

We rely on two OpenWeatherMap APIs: one for current conditions, and another for a forecast every three hours over five days. This data is gathered from ground observation stations, satellites, and numerical weather models around the world, and is refreshed periodically by the provider.

How does location detection work?

When you first open the site, your browser may ask permission to know your geographic location so it can show your local weather right away. This permission is entirely optional — you can decline it and search manually for your city's name in the search bar at the top of the dashboard instead. Your location is never stored or shared beyond the weather request itself. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

Limits of accuracy

Like any weather service, forecasts remain estimates and grow more accurate the closer you get to the actual moment. We always recommend checking your country's official meteorological authority when making decisions that involve safety, such as travel in severe weather or responding to storm warnings.
